If You Don't Have Expert System Rule, TurboTax Rule File, or Echo-conference Rules Software Installed
In order to open your RUL file, you will have to download Expert System Rule, TurboTax Rule File, Echo-conference Rules, or another similar software package.
If Your Computer is Not Configured to Open RUL Files
If you have the relevant software, but your computer still won't open the software, you will have to change the file associations on Windows or Mac. Depending on your operating system, you can ensure that your computer always open RUL files using Expert System Rule, TurboTax Rule File, Echo-conference Rules, or another program of your choice that uses RUL files.

If the RUL File is Corrupt
In some instances, you may receive an error message stating that the file is corrupt. If you have tried all of the above, and it still doesn't work, download or request a new copy to see if that works.
Open RUL File the Easy Way
If you don't want to download Expert System Rule, TurboTax Rule File, or Echo-conference Rules (for whatever reason), and the other options also don't work... that's okay!
Even though some RUL files must be opened in a program for which it was developed (binary format), you may still be able to open it in a universal file viewer such as File Magic. Download File Magic now from the Microsoft Store and open your RUL file!
