If You Don't Have CDDB Database and PC Music Library in PlayCenter
In order to open your UMI file, you will have to download CDDB Database and PC Music Library in PlayCenter or another similar software package.
If Your Computer is Not Configured to Open UMI Files
If you have the relevant software, but your computer still won't open the software, you will have to change the file associations on Windows or Mac. Depending on your operating system, you can ensure that your computer always open UMI files using CDDB Database and PC Music Library in PlayCenter or another program of your choice that uses UMI files.

If the UMI File is Corrupt
In some instances, you may receive an error message stating that the file is corrupt. If you have tried all of the above, and it still doesn't work, download or request a new copy to see if that works.
Open UMI File the Easy Way
If you don't want to download CDDB Database and PC Music Library in PlayCenter (for whatever reason), and the other options also don't work... that's okay!
Even though some UMI files must be opened in a program for which it was developed (binary format), you may still be able to open it in a universal file viewer such as File Magic. Download File Magic now from the Microsoft Store and open your UMI file!
